Tamales

The Valley's Family Tradition Since 1942

Co-Owner Lorraine Salazar tells you about our Homemade Tamales

The holiday seasons are upon us and that means it’s time for Sal’s world famous homemade tamales!

Tamales are a tradition in Mexican families and are native from Mexico dating back many centuries. Tamales are traditionally made for the holiday season and are a Labor of Love. At Sal’s we like to call tamales, “Little Bundles of Love.”

Three locations to serve you: Selma, Fresno and Madera.

We will make 30,000 tamales for this Holiday season and all are handmade by 5 of our wonderful staff member ladies. Our tamales are freshly made with masa, fresh made mole, hand cooked pork – and chicken is also available during the holidays. Tamales are then hand-spread, filled and rolled, and prepared for steaming.

Keep the holiday tradition alive with tamales from Sal’s Mexican Restaurant to serve at your Holiday dinner.
